Human Resources Manager

As we develop our projects and move towards commercial lithium extraction in the next few years, the Company will continue to expand from our current base of nearly 60 employees. To address this challenge, we are looking for a Human Resource Manager to join us in Cornwall and play a key role in our growth.
The Human Resource Manager’s role will include designing and implementing the human resources function for the Group, aligning the Group’s human resource function with strategic development of the Group’s Projects, managing and overseeing the existing recruitment process and designing company policies. You will be based in Penryn, Cornwall and work alongside our existing Human Resource Administrator, interact with Group’s department heads and the Group’s Executive Committee with a direct reporting line to the Group’s Chief Financial Officer. You will need to plan strategically and ensure the company has sufficient human resources and training plans in place as we develop our projects and put them into operation. You will also help shape our employer brand strategy. Ultimately, you will ensure our company attracts, hires, develops and retains talented and qualified employees.
Requirements and Skills:
• CIPD (or equivalent) qualification to 5 level or Masters in Human Resource Management (or similar qualification) as well as 8-10 years’ experience in HR.
• A comprehensive understanding of the UK’s legislative landscape impacting employment contracts, consultancy contracts and internship agreements and the ability to advise Group Managers of best HR/employment law practices and terms of individuals’ contracts.
• Experience of recruitment and talent management in the mining or extractive industries is desirable, especially within new operations.

Salary and Hours
We offer a competitive salary for this role in the range of £45,000-50,000, plus a 10% of salary pension contribution, and benefits will include life insurance, private medical insurance, choice to participate in the Group’s Electric Vehicle and Ride to Work Schemes. The role will be based at the Company’s offices at the Tremough Innovation Centre, University Campus, Penryn, Cornwall. Working hours are typically 37.5 hours per week, but there may be a need for flexible hours. Annual leave comprises 25 days’ holiday per year pro rata, plus Bank Holidays.
