Cornish Lithium is developing the Trelavour Project near St Dennis to produce lithium and other valuable by-products.  The Trelavour Project comprises a former kaolin clay pit, currently being re-purposed by Cornish Lithium for lithium production, and the Trelith processing site, located a kilometre from the pit, which will be the location of the lithium extraction plant. 

Job Role

As we expand our Business, we will be hiring multiple candidates in the following positions.   

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering Team

We will be looking for  a number of Engineers to be responsible for the reactive and planned maintenance of all production related equipment, including fault diagnosis and repair.  Candidates will be a mix of multi-skilled, Electrical, Mechanical and ICA engineering disciplines and will have completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance, or equivalent qualification.  Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous.

Process Technician

In this role you will be responsible for the monitoring and improvement of manufacturing and engineering processes, ensuring that all equipment is being used properly and maintained to the correct standards.  You will evaluate and analyse any resulting data to find ways to improve efficiency and quality.  Applicants should possess a good standard of Maths and Science together with excellent communication skills and critical thinking skills.

Metallurgists/Process Engineers

We are looking for candidates with drive and enthusiasm to provide on-going hydrometallurgical analyses and physical test results for LiOH production process control, product quality assurance and provide product and material analysis.  Candidates will ideally have a chemical and/or mineral processing background with hydro-metallurgical and chemical engineering being an advantage.

Laboratory Technicians

We are seeking candidates who are energetic and enthusiastic, with the ability to quickly learn new skills and procedures. Successful candidates will be actively involved in the commissioning of the newly built Laboratory and the subsequent day-to-day running of multiple pieces of analytical equipment.  Candidates should hold a qualification in Earth Sciences, Chemistry or related discipline and have experience of working in a laboratory environment.

The roles will be based at the Company’s TreLith site near St Dennis, Cornwall and involve Shift Working.  Annual leave comprises 25 days’ holiday per year pro rata, plus UK Bank Holidays.
