Exploring the potential
of lithium in geothermal
waters
The deep underground waters at Besore near Threemilestone, Truro, were identified as having potential for lithium extraction. Consequently, exploration drilling and water testing were conducted at the site from November 2024 and completed in April 2025, with the site reinstated shortly after. The results from this project have provided data to add to our understanding of the subsurface in Cornwall.
